I was initially attracted to Rosie’s connect workshop as I have always thought that horses are the best teachers. After speaking to Rosie I was convinced by the idea of finding my authentic self, as I had been a people pleaser for so long I wasn’t sure what that was.
Initially I was reluctant to be too true to my authentic self, as I wasn’t sure I was going to like her very much. But during the workshop I was able to separate my emotions from my authentic self and learn how to honour them without letting them define me.
The horses were, as I expected, brilliant at holding up the mirror and allowing me to recognise and own the way I was feeling. It’s very tough but so enlightening and I would recommend it to anyone who is struggling with self image or difficult relationships.
