Connect Workshop | Equine Facilitated Learning & Wellbeing Coaching

Connect

Connect with your authentic self

In a peaceful, countryside location, the Connect workshop is a three-day introduction to equine facilitated learning. If you feel like you’re drifting without purpose, and you’d like to explore what is holding you back, this is the start of your journey in the Way of the Horse.

Some participants have described Connect as a breakthrough moment in their personal development. By taking the time to connect with your true intentions, feelings and inner wisdom, you can start to discover what your mind is really telling you, and which direction you could be heading in.

“My experience of working with Rosie was a profound and moving one that has led to a deep sense of peace as well as renewed energy, joy and sense of play. I’ve experienced many alternative therapies over the years and nothing comes close to this.” KT

A voyage of self-discovery

In an intimate group setting (with a maximum of five participants), we work with the four elements of emotional wellbeing – body, emotion, mind and spirit. The first step is to connect with your physical sensations. Expanding your comfort zone to become aware of these feelings and emotions gives you the opportunity to experience subtle shifts and start reconnecting to your heart’s desires.

During the workshop and through your interactions with the horses you will:

  • Connect with your true feelings in a safe non-judgmental environment
  • Recognise your emotions as ‘information’ to develop deeper and more meaningful relationships
  • Learn to set clear and effective boundaries to gain respect and trust
  • Identify limiting beliefs to finally move through blocks
  • Feel alive again, filled with energy, enthusiasm and inner joy

I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone who is on a voyage of self-discovery! The work is simple but effective, accessible but deep. The horses were all amazing. Each so different from the rest with their own bits of knowledge and wisdom to share.” AT

Frequently asked questions

workshop facilitator connects with horse near bath uk
Can I attend Connect without any previous experience with horses?
Yes – the Connect workshop is suitable for anyone who wants to build a deeper relationship with themselves and spend time in the presence of horses, whether you’re an animal lover and new to horses, or have past or present experience with horses.

How much interaction will I have with horses?
We interact with the horses every day of the workshop, as you learn how to connect to your true self in a safe environment. Our initial time with the horses helps you to integrate your learning through observation, before we progress to reflective and active interactions.

It was a beautiful balance of theory/ work with the horses/ breaks/reflections, all held in what felt like a rather sacred space. (Also, the lunches are 5*, hats off to the cook).” RC

Where is Connect held?
Our workshops are held at the beautiful Trealy Farm in Monmouth (NP25 4BL). Trealy Farm is a 138-acre organic mixed farm looking out towards the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons, and provides the perfect landscape in which to connect.

How much does it cost?
The cost is £395. This includes a lunchtime meal each day, including delicious home-grown ingredients.

Do I need any special clothing?
Please bring outdoor clothing and hard-soled shoes (such as walking boots). You may also wish to bring more comfortable footwear or slippers for the theory parts, which take place indoors.

What happens after Connect?
Connect is a stepping stone to the Nature of Wisdom (NOW) programme, which is an intensive exploration of the Way of the Horse.

Some of our Connect participants join having read Linda Kohanov’s Tao of Equus, or Angela Dunning’s Horse Leads the Way, and sign up knowing they will progress to the NOW programme.

Equally, you can benefit from attending Connect on its own – some participants even repeat the course.
