I found the workshop via the Eponaquest website and I specifically wanted to explore my limiting self belief of “I’m not good enough” and knew that the workshop would be a good, supportive environment for me to do this in.
You are easy to relate to Rosie. You are very humble and honest about where you are at in your own journey. This created a space where I felt I could be honest and open about my own journey.
I think it was really important for me to experience the height of my self doubt. I realised that I used to get in that sort of state when I went to dance auditions and even just in dance classes during my training. It was no wonder I struggled to pick up choreography when my anxiety levels were above 7! Embodied work is so good at getting to the core of what is going on in a very short space of time.
Since the workshop then I have felt more empowered. On Monday morning, the lady I work for was cross with me for a mistake she had made. I was able to calmy say that maybe I wasn’t the right person for the job and that she should consider getting someone with a bit more experience. She immediately started back-tracking and made it clear that she doesn’t want me to leave. I feel like I am more in control of my work situation and that I am able to stand up for myself a bit more without it being confrontational.
I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone who is on a voyage of self discovery! The work is simple but effective, accessible but deep. The horses were all amazing. Each so different from the rest with their own bits of knowledge and wisdom to share.
